location of process in mitosis & meiosis?

    Well this question could mean a number of things depending on what you mean by 'location' and 'process:' In general, mitosis occurs only in somatic cells, whereas both mitosis and meiosis occur in gamete progenetors (cells who's progeny are either sperm or eggs). Or, if you are referring to the specific steps in the processes mitosis and meiosis with reference to the rest of the individual cell, the answer is a little different.
