Mistymay65 Group Title

A carpenter cut the top section of window frame with a 37º angle on each end. The side pieces each have a 50º angle cut at their top end, as shown. Will the side pieces of the frame be parallel? Explain. Diagram not to scale., picture here-http://i41.tinypic.com/fofaya.png Please help me, I will definitively give a medal thanks!

    I think that in order for the sides to be parallel to each other, they would have to be perpendicular to the top section. In order to be perpendicular to the top section they would have to form a 90 degree angle with it. But 50+37=87 degrees on each side so they are not parallel.
