    \[3\sqrt{x ^{3}} - \sqrt{x} = 3*x*\sqrt{x} - \sqrt{x} = (3x - 1)\sqrt{x}\]

    please make sure that you were looking for square root and not cube root (just wanted to make sure the 3 was outside as a coefficient)

    I see what you did and I understand it. I didnt know I was suppose to multiply the x 3 times. It was throwing me off. Thank you for your help and answer.
