First of all, there isn't a very suitable group for earth science. Often these questions are incorrectly posted in biology - rocks aren't alive but they affect ecosystems which support life. You could also try posting in chemistry. In an effort to consolidate the site and focus on the main groups, you're not able to create your own groups.

I would say biology, yeah it's not live but biology at least in school is more abstract
