In the book The Help a white women named Hilly Holbrook tries passing a law allowing every white home in Jackson Mississippi to have a extra bathroom for the colored men and women working in them. Hilly is undertaking this because she assumes colored people are revolting and that if they use their personal bathrooms they could endure a disease. "All these houses they're building without maid's quarters? It's just plain dangerous. Everybody knows they carry different kinds of diseases then we do"(Stockett 10).

But why don't you post these in the writing section?
You need a transition sentence before the quote.
Also the use of "endure" is badly used here, try something different like contract instead. There are some commas missing and the "a" before "extra bathroom" should be an "an."
im really bad at transitions :( i thought i had it..

can u help me with my transition?
Sure, here's a helpful question. What are you demonstrating by including that quote? What is that quote proving?
its proving racism witch is in my thesis and its describing the way the white charachters in the book think of black people.
You could simply say something like "She shows her distaste when she says...[quote]"
Hilly shows her distaste with blacks by saying "All these houses they're building without maid's quarters? It's just plain dangerous. Everybody knows they carry different kinds of diseases then we do"(Stockett 10).
Yes and keep your previous sentence..the one starting with "Hilly is undertaking this..." etc
