take the value of y when x=0 then at 1, and at 2 and you ll get an idea how it happens....... i ll show you how...|dw:1332719536312:dw| it increases exponentially.. basically you have to experiment with x values to understand the nature of a graph...

BUT HOW ABOUT FOR OTHER PROBLEMS, HOW DO YOU KNOW WHERE TO START TESTING YOUR X-VALUES. DO YOU START AT 0 OR -1 OR .....?

check x=0, x=1.. this is the best.. you can predict the nature of the graph by looking at the equation, like this is an exponential function.. so increases 'exponentially'
