last statement. the hypotenuse of a triangle will always be the longest. anything shorter than 19 is the wrong answer.

keep that in mind, if you get another question like that all you have to know is that the hypotenuse of a triangle is the longest side, you wont even have to touch the numbers.

if youre ever missing the hypotenuse of a right triangle, use the Pythagorean theorem, which is a^2 + b^2 = c^2. where a and b are the legs of the triangle, and c being the hypotenuse (diagonal). once you plug in a and b, take the square root of that number to get c, the hypotenuse.
