the question is y=-0.5x+4....how would you graph that
kymber

y = mx + b, y = -2/5 + 4 M is the slope, -2/5, B is the y-intercept, 4, which is where you start on the graph. the y-axis is vertical, the x-axis horizontal. Slope is rise over run. Starting at 4 on the y-axis, you go down 2 (since it's negative) and across 5 (to the right since it's positive) Oops, I graphed the other equation! For y = -0.5x + 4, you would convert the decimal to a fraction, which makes it easier to graph, so |dw:1332790725879:dw|y = -1/2x + 4 The y-intercept is 4. Plot the point (0,4), 4 on the y-axis, just like on the other one The slope is -1/2x, so go down one from the y-intercept, then go 2 to the right Repeat this til you run out of graph, or you can make a sufficient line. Then connect the dots and you're done :]
