Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.2id say its based on an educated guess, and sometimes not even the educated part; but it has to be testable at least

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Gotta be C. A and B are almost conclusions or observations, which come AFTER an experiment. A hypothesis is formulated before any experimentation begins. A scientific hypothesis typically follows the form of "IF this THEN that." This reads to me as a cause and effect.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0A hypothesis is definitely NOT based on research or data from experimentation. Consider that an experiment aims to prove or disprove a hypothesis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypothesis
