So for the volume of human waste is unknown since it’s already in large volume and currently with increasing population human waste is already an environmental issue, it is in excess amount and even though it can be recycled and used on rural land but still most of the waste is being dumped in the landfills around the world including the developed countries.

This is a complicated question. The effect of waste depends on the volume released. It also depends on the sensitivity of a certain environment and on the nature of the waste released. 10 grams of plastic (i.e., a candy wrapper) will have a much less extreme effect on an ecosystem than 10 grams of spent nuclear fuel, for example. It depends on the sensitivity of each organism in the ecosystem to the type of waste being released, and it depends on how sensitive the ecosystem as a whole is to each affected organism. In very few cases is the entire effect of polluting or waste dumping even known and there are no discrete cut offs: less waste than this is OK but more will be bad. Cheers,

Thanks for your input blue, this was a question form a wastewater treatment that I need to know for submitting my assignment. What I wrote was "So for the volume of human waste is unknown since it’s already in large volume and currently with increasing population human waste is already an environmental issue, it is in excess amount and even though it can be recycled and used on rural land but still most of the waste is being dumped in the landfills around the world including the developed countries. " meaning it's already in excess amount and already an environmental issue
