Name the English documents that influenced the colonists? What was their significance?

    Thomas Paine's "Common Sense," it proclaimed that life, liberty, and property were fundamental rights that were endowed upon us by a creator.

    (Obviously you should know that a variant of "life, liberty, and property" wound it's way into the Declaration of Independence)
