y = log x If y = 10, then what is x?

    rewrite it with the base of log in there to help you see: \[10=\log_{10}x\] This is asking you to raise 10 to the tenth power, so x is 10^10

    if log is log is logarithm of base 10, x=10^10 if log is logarithm of base e, then x=e^10
