you have 15 out of 25 chances to get a red pencil first. Since you assume that you have picked a red one (to satisfy the condition you're looking for) you now have 14 red pencils left out of 24 total pencils. so this means 14 /24 for your second probability. Bottom line, that'll give you 15/25 * 14/24 which you can simplify to 7/20
