Can greek gods be killed?
I watched the movie wrath of the titans tonight and in the movie one or more gods were killed. Now I saw another mythology movie earlier this year where gods were killed. So I started thinking both movies probably aren't wrong so my question is ...Can gods from greek mythology die? If they can then I better stop standing in the movie theater and yelling boo :)

:D Ha! Ooooh, good question! Well, no technically the greek gods cannot die, not the traditional sense. Let me explain: Let's say good old zeus gets stabbed in the jugular, and 'dies'. He then goes to Hades (greek hell) specifically Tarturus, a place just for gods. They are held there until there physical god bodies have enough power to reform. Usually this takes several hundred years, so yes and no. It's more like they get a life sentence in jail then they get a new life. Take as you will, have fun!
yes I thought they could be banished and your explanation is close enough to bansihment and probably more accurate. Thanks for your time!
That was a pretty good film first of all.and yeah why do Gods get killed? I really don't understand that the thing that you say God and you believe in should be something that cannot get effected of anything...right? It should be something so strong that so you can call it God?
