assume the can is cylindrical... you'll want to minimize the surface area of the cylinder |dw:1333281722266:dw| take the derivative of SA.. set to 0, see if the critical # produces a min... your answer will be in terms of r so to get h plug back into the volume formula and you'll have your dimensions.
