Suppose you want to build an outdoor rectangular pen enclosed by fencing for a pet. You want the pen to have an area of 64 square feet. Write and post one set of dimensions that could be used for the pen, along with the perimeter of the pen.

    - so for example : width 8 and longth 8 so in tis case the rectangle is square or width 4 lenght 16 - ----- 2 ----- 32

    A.Y -- what is the formula for the area of a rectangle? This is the starting point of the whole problem. :)

    area = L times W duhh

    Ok, that's correct: A = L * W You are asked to find two values (L and W) such that L * W = 64. So any two numbers that multiply together and give you 64 are acceptable. :)
