hi I've started the course and like to learn how to program ios apps. I am aware of the lectures available from stanford, my question is should i wait till i finish this course before watching these or coud I do both at the same time.

It really depends, personally I would finish up these first as a lot of them will get you thinking like a programmer, before jumping into iOS development, there is some hand holding in Objective C, but it's also very confusing syntactically at first to beginners AND experts! It is better if you understand programming very well, in my opinion, before you jump into that boat. At least be sure you understand things like memory allocation, pointers, etc.
