what is decoder and multiplexer?

    decoder decodes encoded information http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decoder allows to select from different inputs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiplexer

    decoder with enable input called demultiplexer

    In multiplexer,there is n-number of inputs but only single output,as in mobile communication we have thousands of inputs in our mobile set but we have only a single output,multiplexer is also called mux-, with n-number of inputs,single out put and data selectors etc
