yes but why is 6 the minimum number of blue cubes that will make the "+" shape on all sides

im guessing the "+" shape is made up of the clear cubes then. by my count it would take 8 blue cubes to get that shape on all sides 4 corner cubes on either side

just explain why if you only have 5 blue cubes you cant do it

because if it takes 4 to make shape on 1 side, then obviously you will need more than 1 cube to make shape on opposite side
