Suppose a computer virus begins by infecting 8 computers in the first hour after it is released. Each hour after that, each newly infected computer causes 8 more computers to become infected. The function y = 8x models this situation. Make a table with integer values of x from 1 to 4.

ummm yep im confused

All you do is plug the x values (1 to 4) in the equation (y = 8x) Then in the table, you just list the x values and the y values!

See the function, f, as an apparatus that you put things (integers) into. For every value you put in, you get different results (most of the times). For example if you have the function f(x)=2x Your function "depends" on what values you give it, if you feed your function the integer 2, you get x=2 which leads to f(2)=2*2. Good luck! :)
