a supernova is the death of a star by explosion which emits a huge amount of X-ray radiation across the space!!. at its end a star's core collapses due to the presence of ion in its core which permits or lets the gravitational pull of the star to take of the balance with the pressure created by the explosions created by the nuclear fusions that take place in the star. an example is the supernova that was seen on July 1054 and could be seen in broad daylight for 23 days. Hope i tried.
