    (5 × 10^3)(6 × 10^4) = 30 x 10^7 Move the decimal point over to the left and that will raise the exponent by one power. 3.0 x 10^8

    As tip, I would look up how to deal with multiplying exponents. You have to add them when you multiply 2 numbers.
