He also had five proofs:
Jigsaw Puzzle Fit: Matching coastlines. The continents seem to fit like puzzle pieces. (South America fits right
Plants and Animals Match: Fossils of late Paleozoic age were found on several different continents. South America and Africa have matching fossils.
Rock Match: South America and Africa have the same kinds of rocks. They also have the same mountains chains. Its like there cut in half.
Ice Matches: An ice sheet covered parts of India, Africa and South America.
Positions Don't Match: 300 million years ago the present northern continents were at the equator.
Tropical plants were found in Antartica.
