Iam not from geography background , so no idea about the subject. But I completely support your viewpoint , as these groups not just help the people who study that subject , but others as well. Its great to know about where we live ! :-)

You want to have a discussion with @cshalvey about that, I believe. As I recall, this kind of falls under his realm in Community Management. :)

Hmm, well when it comes to adding new groups, it's really all about demand, and moderation. However, since @TranceNova has graciously volunteered to assist :P, I'll definitely take it under consideration. Let me know here how many people would be interested (feel free to ask them to reply here so we can see), cheers everyone!

I think there should be a geography group. Even though I do not have this class, it can still be very helpful to other students and other questions we may not understand. I think there should be a geography group for sure. (:

@cshalvey heeeey I'm usually watching the little groups! Anyway juding from the large volume of geography questions that usually end up on the biology group I'd say there is a reasonable need.

Right on the line then. Now we can create confusion by telling everyone in bio to post 'em in geography and every one in geography to post 'em in bio.
