How do I cite a story from my english textbook? The story is "masque of the red death" by edgar allen poe, but i need to cite it from the textbook, not the original story. Help?

    Purdue University has a really exhaustive and authoritative reference guide to all things MLA. Check it out: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/06/ In your case, you're specifically looking for "Poem or Short Story Examples" that are a little over halfway down the page.
