|dw:1336161032812:dw| is this it?

2. lashae1995

A

3. lashae1995

Its A! proof>I suspect that the 3- in the front of your problem isn't part of the equation, but the number of the problem. If It is included, then you'll end up with a complex solution, which I doubt you are studying. So assume the problem statement is sqrt(3x-5) = 4 First square both sides. 3x-5 = 16 Solve for x x = 7

a

@Shiemeka I was waiting for your response so I can finish the problem

@Shiemeka --> VERY important question -> Please answer. Which of these is the problem: |dw:1336161586490:dw|

7. Shiemeka

The problem just states 3x-5=4

8. shivam_bhalla

You should find x ? right. Now. First you should add 5 to both sides of the equation

10. Shiemeka

I have start the problem like this 3x-5=4 3x-5+5=4+5 and then I'm stuck

11. shivam_bhalla

Simplify it further and tell me.

12. shivam_bhalla

I mean -5+5 = ?

13. shivam_bhalla

Any problem in that ?

14. Shiemeka

Then I putted 3x=9 -5+5 equal 0 it cancels out

15. shivam_bhalla

Yes. Now divide by 3 on both sides

16. Shiemeka

Omg thank you sooo much I understand
