hmm this seems familiar...this was suggested before...are you sure that wasnt you? /:) hahaha
I've suggested this idea previously. It's not in hot demand right now, so we haven't done much with it. But we *may* do something like that in the future. However, it is worth noting that most websites only do sounds for chats. So, it may confuse newer users.
I would like this.
If I'm away from my computer, I will not hear it most likely. lol.
good point...it would also be ineffective for deaf users..hypothetically...which im not saying there are
And also sometimes I like to pretend I'm away from my keyboard so getting sounds will be annoying. It would be great if something like this happened that we can turn the sounds off.
Yeah, if we implement this it'd definitely be optional.
I keep openstudy open and browse other tabs. That's why I'd like to hear a notification sound.
Well, if you use Chrome or Firefox, the OpenStudy logo will change orange for you when you have notifications. :)
safari always has an orange logo..dunno why..is it really like that? or me?
No, that's because when you arrived on site you had a notification and safari doesn't let us change it after the page is loaded. :(
It turns orange for me usually.
It turns orange for me in firefox. I am happy for it to stay that way. A notificatiuon would just get annoying if you get too many.
