\[\huge \mathbb{\color{#D32B05}{`AP㋛㋡RIDDLE!!`}}\]
8 year old Aseem looks out of his window at 10 PM and finds that it's pitch dark outside. Disappointed, he goes off to sleep. He wakes up all tired, 14 hours later (yes he loves to sleep :P), and slides open his window hoping to find bright daylight shining outside, but he is disappointed once again it's still pitch dark! He is puzzled, angry and disappointed!
Can you help explain li'l Aseem what's happening?

P.S. There were no eclipse forecasts, and he's very much near the equator all the time. There can be more than one reasonable answer to this situation, all I'm looking for is how imaginative we are (doesn't require much out of the box thinking) :)

@apoorvk , may be he is day dreaming because of excessive sleep :P

 one year ago

apoorvkBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1

shivam_bhallaBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
LOL, @apoorvk , how can you slide open a window of a plane :P
 one year ago

shivam_bhallaBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
You can only slide open the shutter
 one year ago

lgbasalloteBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
windows are transparent shivam :p
 one year ago

apoorvkBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1
yeah you slide the "plastic panel" open after which is the the thick glass window, which you obviously can't.
 one year ago

lgbasalloteBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
but you can break it
 one year ago

shivam_bhallaBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
@lgba, unless you want the plane to crash, never do it :P
 one year ago

apoorvkBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1
Yeah you can break it and risk the lives of all the people onboard
 one year ago

lgbasalloteBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
it's not going to crash.....just...go out of control due to pressure
 one year ago

shivam_bhallaBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
LOL @lgba, If the window braks, then due to pressure differece, the plan will be ripped apart midair
 one year ago

lgbasalloteBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
no it wont....the people will just fly out of the window....then the plane will crash....but at least people didnt die of "crash"
 one year ago

apoorvkBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1
unless you are very lucky, you may be blown out.
 one year ago

shivam_bhallaBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
I have seen the nat geo air crash episodes . I love them. One such thing happened too
 one year ago

shivam_bhallaBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
@lgbasallote , pressure is so intense that the plane will also break apart
 one year ago

lgbasalloteBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
but the people will fly out first :p
 one year ago

lgbasalloteBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
ive seen it ive been there..you dont want it
 one year ago

shivam_bhallaBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
@lgbasallote , people who have put the seat belt won't fly out first. .
 one year ago

apoorvkBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1
haha lol. btw i just came with another abstract solution. This kid is so filthy rich, that he is on tourist trip in space, and ofcourse the space looks dark from outside the atmosphere due to absence of miniscule particles which diffract light! :P (space tourism is not a myth anymore btw)
 one year ago

lgbasalloteBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
then the seats will fly with them...all i know is they wont die of "crash" because they wouldve been long dropped before the plane reaches ground
 one year ago

shivam_bhallaBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
LOL @ lgbasallote, if he flies with seats, then there are chances of survival because parachutes are underneath every seat :P
 one year ago

shivam_bhallaBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
But he should catch hold of the seat and wearing parachute midair is almost impossible :P
 one year ago

jazyBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
random thought: A plane is flying on the border of New Mexico and Arizona. Suddenly it crashes! Where do they bury the survivors?
 one year ago

shivam_bhallaBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
@jazy , in the sea :P
 one year ago

apoorvkBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1
There are NO survivors!!
 one year ago

apoorvkBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1
and you don't bury the survivors!!!
 one year ago

shivam_bhallaBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
LOL, why should they bury the survivors, LOLOL :P
 one year ago

apoorvkBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1
Survivors why would you bury them? :D let 'em live
 one year ago

jazyBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
@apoorvk is correct:D lol
 one year ago

shivam_bhallaBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
He / can survive if they wear the parachute 0.5 sec after the window broke. If he/she wears the parachute within 5 sec and then flies out, then there are chances of survival :P
 one year ago

lgbasalloteBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
WHY WOULD YOU LET THEM LIVE?!!! THEY SURVIVED A CRASH AND YOU LET THEM LIVE?!!! EUTHANASIA I SAY!!!!
 one year ago

lgbasalloteBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
@shivam_bhalla apparently the people's insides are gonna fly out :p
 one year ago

shivam_bhallaBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
along with the debris of the plane @lgba :P
 one year ago

apoorvkBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1
Btw, parachutes aren't generally provided for everyone in economy class. Only business class folks get that luxury :/
 one year ago

shivam_bhallaBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
@apoorvk , they are now mandatory for every class
 one year ago

lgbasalloteBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
WHAT?!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO SOCIAL CLASSISM?!!!
 one year ago

apoorvkBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1
No they are just flotation devices. In fact parachutes aren't even provided in Business Class either (I was wrong) they just get a life jacket sort of thing, while economy class has to make use of the 'foam' seat. Check this link http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080624233147AAGDzWT @dpaInc 'sorry' what for?
 one year ago

shivam_bhallaBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0
@apoorvk , right :D I was confusing between life jacket and parachute :P
