Just curious about filling a container and a hole shaped exactly like the container

    |dw:1337065340302:dw| Say you wanna fill them with water and they both same shape and size, exactly congruent but one is a hole on the ground and the other a container. Will work done to fill them be the same?

    basically on is an upside down version of the other.

    divide it into 2 triangles and a square(or rectangle) in middle.

    Yes the volume would be exactly the same

    Divide it into two triangles, with a square in the center of it and the volume and work done to fill them shall be the same
