can any body design a circuit by using 7 lamps and two switches in such a way that when switches are in up state ,7 lamps are in series and when switches are in down state ,lamps are in parallel to one another.we have to use ac power suooly

    I think estebananaya is correct because as the switch is up full current will not be setup in that case there is possibility that the wires are simply shorted. And the lamps become series.But in case of switch down the lamps will have nodes each and become parallel

    I do not think this works. You are shorting passed pairs of lamps such that in the series configuration they won't light. You need diodes as well.
