Hello Everyone, this is my first time in a "writing" forum so I am not sure how to go about asking but here goes: I have to write a persuasive request(internally)to the President of our Company. I am to "urge" him to approve creating a trade show display using Kinect for a big show coming up in 6 weeks. I have to include costs as well as the current stats on sales of Xbox Kinect and some examples of how other businesses are using it. Can someone give me some pointers on this. I see examples in my text but not of anything like this request. Thanks in advance for any help or direction:)

one of the biggest thing (and you probably already know this) is to bring out how it has benefited other companies that have used this product make sure you point out ALL!!!! of the good thing about it and of at all possible (if this is the case) show how speding a little money now will pay off in the long run. (hope this helps)

to build upon what @drpeppergal said, but you may want to also have hard figures from Microsoft business to see how much it will cost your company....if you can show how that cost will in effect "pay for itself" or the cost will have intrinsic or other value that will benefit the company then your set. have you already contacted other business use this piece of equipment, what department uses it, what have been the effects of them buying this equipment and if they themselves have benefited from it. you might be able to get a letter written by that company CEO or other VP to validate your claims in purchasing the Kinect. hope this helps and good luck!

I am so sorry I didn't see this. My paper came out well, an A, but I appreciate your excellent feedback. Again, I am sorry I did not see this back then:( Denise
