what does x^2 times x^2=?????

    16 = 2^4 = x^4 So, x = 2.

    u sure x=2 because based off of this picture........the radius cant be 2

    That is because 2 * x^2 is NOT same as x^4.

    2*x^2 = 16 =>x^2 = 8 => x = SQRT(8) => x = 2*SQRT(2)
