wait that was a wrong one Xd, arithmetic error, here the explanation: first we know that jeff and tiffany will done their jobs first, and their work rate is: (4/3)table per min and (4/2)table per min, when they do works together, the work rate is 4/3+4/2 = 10/3 |dw:1338131640256:dw| Now we can find the progress of the other 2 pair when jeff and tifany done their place setting job: rate of work of stacie and nick : 4/3 + 4/3.5 = 52/21 |dw:1338131810747:dw| x is the number of table completed when jeff and tiffany done their setting job. that mean 81/7 of table left undone( 45 - 234/7 = 81/7) now tiffany and jeff will help the other two and the work rate is : 4/3+4/4+4/5+4/3.5 = 449/105 |dw:1338131995415:dw| so the total time to complete all 45 tables for both folding and setting is: time taken = 13.5min + 1215/449 min i think this right
