    I use son of a sucker fish drop downs combines CSS and javascript along with a lil html ...its pretty old though it uses CSS2 there might be a better solution with CCS3 and html5 or should I say HTML....its ok to use a lil javascript for this you will probably use some on your website sooner or later anyway.
