    No. the LCD is x. you should get two answers. Make sure you make the equation equal to zero.

    when i multiply by the LCD i got 3x-6=x squared +8x? then i subtract neg 3to both sides and add 6 to get my equation equal to 0. so does X=-3, X=-2?
