i think its C since biogeochemical cycle cycle nutients (which are chemicals) in the biosphere.

Consider this. A is not the answer because human activities have effects on the elements, chemical compounds and matters. E.g human activities can affect nitrogen and carbon fixation. B is not because there are micro and macro nutrients passing through biological cycles. C should be the answer because Biogeochemical cycle is the movement and distribution of matter, mainly nutrients between the atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, and biosphere. D cannot be the answer because many nutrients can reach toxic levels in the biosphere through biomagnification and bioaccumulation along the food chain.
