What are the slopes of the asymptotes for the hyperbola with the equation (x - 2)^2 /16 - (y + 3)^2 /25 = 1? +/- 16/25 +/- 25/16 +/- 5/4 +/- 4/5 NOTE: (+/-) plus or minus.

    looks like +/- 5/4 to me.

    the number under the y^2 is the square of the distance up and down from the center; likewise, the number under the x^2 is the distance left and right from the center.
