When your simplifying expressions, do you remember the rules? Like you can only add or subtract "like" terms, this rule is applicable to your question 5  6m + 4 Ok so the only part of this equation with a m in it is the 6!, the 5 and the 4 do not have any m's, so by the rule, you can not add or subtract any of these numbers to 6 but you can simplify 5 + 4 So go ahead and add 5+4  6m Which simplify s down to 9  6m

well if you want to show it on paper, this is how you would do it 1) 5  6m + 4 2) 5 + 4  6m (Just re arranged the 4 & then evaluate) 3) 9  6m
