What contributions to government and law were made by Greece and Rome?

    Greece gave us the concept of democracy and trial by jury. The Romans built on these ideas and gave us the concept of civil rights, the obligations of a contract, personal property laws, private ownership, types of proof used in courtrooms, and the legal force of a will.
