The first picture signifies America's withdrawal from Iraq... or maybe rescued since the 'A' is being airlifted from the word IRAQ. The second picture is saying that republicans are not going to be as welcome in the future because of the sex scandal mentioned on the cover. The elephant obviously symbolizes republicans. The fact that they put the butt of the elephant facing the reader is saying that the republican actions that took place are unsavory. The butt facing the reader also meant that the republicans are going to be somewhat walking away.
