A merchant bought x toys for $1200. a. Write down an expression, in terms of x, for the cost price in dollars, he paid for each toy. b. Ten of the toys were found to be damaged. He sold the rest making a profit of $2 on each toy. Write down an expression, in terms of x, for the total sum of money he has received from selling the toys. c. Given that the merchant made a total profit of $60 on the whole transaction, form an equation in x and show that it reduces to x^2-40x-6000=0 d. Solve the equation to find the number of toys the merchant bought.
