What is half the maximum gain of a simple low-pass filter?

    answer key works out to -10dB ... can't figure out why because i thought half of maximum gain is 0.5 (-6.02dB)

    someone help figure out why ... ? i thought maximum gain of low-pass filter is 1 ? - so half maximum gain is 0.5 ?
