10-(2*8-6)-8 multiply 2 by 8 to get 16 10-(16-6)-8 subtract 6 from 16 to get 10. 10-(10)-8 multiply -1 by the 10 inside the parentheses. 10-10-8 subtract 10 from 10 to get 0. 0-8 Remove the 0 from the polynomial; adding for subtracting 0 does not change the value of expression. Answer -8
