Which of these statements best describes the difference between asteroids and comets? Asteroids were formed closer to the sun than comets. Comets were formed closer to the sun than asteroids. Asteroids are formed of ice and comets are formed of gases. Comets are formed of ice and asteroids are formed of gases.
