The city wants to buy a new parcel of land to build a new recreational park. What environmental factors need to be investigated before purchasing the land?

    The city should consider watersheds and the area in which they will be disturbing, but since it is presumably an urban watershed they would be helping the overall function. They should also consider what if any species they would be displacing and what affect if any that would have on the ecosystem.
