What does it mean when a question is closed in the middle of a solution being developed on the Mathematics subject?

    It is not closed after 5 minutes, no. Likely the person had another question, and once they saw someone was helping them, posted the other question so that they could get help on that one as well. If they stop interacting, I would check if they've posted a new question and report them for clearly seeking answers instead of help.
