Dear Admins
This post is being created to draw attention to the problem being faced by a noted user @Akshay_Budhkar ever since the SmartScore platform was launched, regarding an error in his SmartScore.
Akshay has made numerous requests to the admin team to have a look and solve the trouble, however since there has been NO redressal till date, so I am myself bringing it up here on his behalf.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0As you can see in the screenshot posted below Akshay's current SmartScore is '65'. This was also his Smartscore on the date SS was launched.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Let's have a look and compare his profile statistics pre and post SS launch: His stats before the SS launch were as follows: OpenStudy Maths Level = 74 = GURU No. Of Medals (Maths) = 1900 (approx. as stated by him) After SmartScore launch: SmartScore = 65 No. Of medals (just after OS launch) = *3* No. of people helped = *5* Questions Answered: 1079 (currently) The current medal count is 39, which mostly includes medals earned by him post SS launch.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0His Engagement and Teamwork are at 67 and 62 respectively, which is justified we believe according to his participation levels in them, but the PROBLEM SOLVING is just ‘59’, which seems to be a result of his low medal count, which we indeed believe has trouble. So, I guess the wrong medal count explains the error in his PS as well overall SmartScore. We all faced medalcount problems when SS was launched, but it seems like the bug in Akshay’s case is a pretty insistent one..

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Also, practically speaking, it is not inherently possible that after answering more than a thousand questions a user earns just '39' medals, regardless of the changes occurring due to conversion into a singlemedal system. Another fact, we all know Akshay has had a great reputation among fellow users, which is a testimony to his dedication towards OpenStudy. His recent inactivity can be explained by his disappointment regarding his SS being messed, and no fixes being provided even after almost THREE MONTHS since SmartScore was launched. Thus, it's a sincere request to you to have a look into this matter, and restore the dignity that Akshay rightly deserves. Thanks!!

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0[P.S. I don't mean to advocate his case, I am simply presenting my understanding of the problem, because I find it implausible that it still lies unsolved.]

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.2Ugh. Akshay was, of course, one of the extremely few advanced users who had a space in his username, but since we've kept referring to him as Akshay or with an underscore, it seemed highly unlikely that there were any remaining bugs in the general medal counting code. *Unfortunately*, what happened here is related to that space. Looks like when we turned spaces into underscores in usernames, things may have gotten screwed up with medals. We'll have a look and try to fix it sometime early next week.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.2If that does turn out to be the problem, this is 100% my fault for failing to look into it deep enough to notice he used to have a space in his name, and that that could have caused this.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.2Yep, looks like that's the issue. He should have closer to 660 medals.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Another bug that @Diyadiya just spotted is such that when one views his list of "Questions answered", one finds in some questions "3" or "2" medals etc just below the question showing in the list, but when one clicks the question and it opens in right half of the screen, if we count the total no. of medals, it's actually less than what's mentioned. And in all such cases, Akshay's reply shows no medals. Two links below, and the corresponding screenshots uploaded below, as examples: 1 http://openstudy.com/users/akshay_budhkar#/updates/4f2b3cf9e4b039c5a5c86a73 2 http://openstudy.com/users/akshay_budhkar#/updates/4f2a0c67e4b049df4e9e13cf
