This is the ineuality that I need to solve |2X+1|-3 > 6 My work: 2X+1>9 2X+1<-9 -1 -1 -1 -1 _____________________ 2X>8 2X<-10 My answers: x>4 X<-5 But what doesnt make sense is that X is greater than four but at the same time less than -5 I dont think I did this right!

    think of it as : X is greater than 4 \(\textbf{some times and, }\)X is less than -5 \(\textbf{some other times !}\)

    if i move forward 4 feet, il land in safe area. if i move backward 5 feet also, its safe
