What is the solution set of |2x + 4| < 10? x > 3 and x < –7 x > –7 and x < 3 x < 3 and x > –3 x < –7 and x > 7

    you will need to solve two inequalities: \(\large 2x+4<10 \) and \(\large 2x+4=-10 \)

    The way I always do these problems is separate it into two cases: when 2x+4 is positive, and when 2x+4 is negative. Then just solve each, and there you go.

    that second one should be: \(\large 2x+4>-10 \)
