Mary and John want to buy a book. Mary needs 1 more cent to buy it. John needs 7 more cents to buy it. They have added all their money, but they still could not buy the book. How much does the book cost?

    john has less than 1 cent and mary has less than 7 cents. john = 0<j<1 so mary must be 6<m<7 the book can be anywhere between 7 and 8 not including
